Our Mission
Haven Center for Growth is a safe and nurturing educational environment that recognizes the unique abilities of each student. The heart of our program is communication; and all that we do aims to foster bonds between our young learners and faculty to promote social, emotional and academic success. Our day program offers a collaborative space where children can receive the special instruction and related services they need.

THE PROCESS
We begin with a records review and academic assessment to pinpoint your child's strengths and weaknesses. We then develop a personalized learning plan which targets your child’s unique needs through individualized instruction.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTION
We offer different approaches to special education including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and Floortime. Individualized skills acquisition and behavior modiication goals are developed for each child as needed.
SOCIAL COMPETENCIES
Children will learn how to establish a social connection, initiate and sustain conversation, identify feelings in self and others, work in a group and develop their social problem solving skills.
ASSISTIVE
TECHNOLOGY TRAINING
We provide augmentative and alternative communication support (AAC) to learners with an array of devices.
ACADEMIC TUTORING
Our individualized instruction is tailored to each student’s specific learning needs. We offer reading, comprehension, writing, math and study skills tutoring.
NEURODIVERSE LEARNERS
We don’t diagnose children, but we support students with diagnoses of Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disability, Down Syndrome, Fragile X and TBI, among other disorders.
Haven Center for Growth fosters all aspects of a student’s development, and considers how behavior and language affect the student’s socio-emotional wellness and learning. Our approach looks at all behavior as communication, and we aim to empower children through imaginative, challenging and joyful learning experiences.
Direct, explicit, and multisensory instruction is the foundation of our program. Our specialists individualize instruction in response to each student’s needs, which allows students to progress with the attention they need.
